(This is a recommendation for when Scriptfodder decides to change to GmodStore)
I reckon (for content creators) an Optional/Not Optional DRM that is provided by GmodStore as a company would be an outstanding idea.
I know that people dislike DRMs because they're untrustworthy and basically allow people to run code on your server, but I feel that if the DRM is provided by Scriptfodder, (Or GmodStore or whatever I don't fucking care) they could possibly do checks for possible backdoors and I feel that if there is downtime that Scriptfodder(Or GmodStore) could be held responsible, they could also make it so that a moderator has to approve every change to the obfuscated code.
Now I know there's a lot of people who hate a said DRM, which is notorious for their great down time (i won't name names because that will just cause drama and to be honest I can't be arsed with you fuck boi's arguing in my thread).
Another argument regarding obfuscating code is that it stops people from being able to customise the addon for themselves etc etc, My answer to this is a separate "thing" where someone can request the sv code from the author and a "key" of some kind is hidden inside one of these sv files, which in that case, the code ends up on leak forms; we can fuck the bitchboi up who leaked it.
This is just an idea, I've seen that a known DRM service is getting more bombardment due to someone finding a way to bypass it, and thought I'd leave this suggestion here.
I also understand that people may disagree with me because they feel that DRM in general is "pointless" and it stops people from "customizing their addons" but i understand why developers use them. I'd be really fucked off if something i worked really hard on was leaked on some baguette website.
