(This is a recommendation for when Scriptfodder decides to change to GmodStore)

I reckon (for content creators) an Optional/Not Optional DRM that is provided by GmodStore as a company would be an outstanding idea.

I know that people dislike DRMs because they're untrustworthy and basically allow people to run code on your server, but I feel that if the DRM is provided by Scriptfodder, (Or GmodStore or whatever I don't fucking care) they could possibly do checks for possible backdoors and I feel that if there is downtime that Scriptfodder(Or GmodStore) could be held responsible, they could also make it so that a moderator has to approve every change to the obfuscated code.

Now I know there's a lot of people who hate a said DRM, which is notorious for their great down time (i won't name names because that will just cause drama and to be honest I can't be arsed with you fuck boi's arguing in my thread).

Another argument regarding obfuscating code is that it stops people from being able to customise the addon for themselves etc etc, My answer to this is a separate "thing" where someone can request the sv code from the author and a "key" of some kind is hidden inside one of these sv files, which in that case, the code ends up on leak forms; we can fuck the bitchboi up who leaked it.

This is just an idea, I've seen that a known DRM service is getting more bombardment due to someone finding a way to bypass it, and thought I'd leave this suggestion here.

I also understand that people may disagree with me because they feel that DRM in general is "pointless" and it stops people from "customizing their addons" but i understand why developers use them. I'd be really fucked off if something i worked really hard on was leaked on some baguette website.

EDIT : Wew 100 posts

Another post about DRM ^^ Well, i'm agree with some of your idea but the fact is that script author don't want to allow people to have access to the code (so they obfuscate it) to prevent leak. Having a DRM service and still let people have access to the code is ... useless.

Everybody understand why some author use DRM... But this decreases quality of product and the satisfaction of customers who have paid for this product to only prevent servers created by 11-year-old children who (most of the time) end up by having the ability to buy their script.

Mate are you a mong.

I like the idea of DRM but i think that the currently most used drm service is shit and that scriptfodder should make their own.

lol.

Did you even read it properly or did you have to attend to a baguette before you could finish it?

Learn to read pal.

From the conversations I've had Gmod store will not be offering DRM. Closing thread.
