Who else thinks it would be very nice if scriptfodder came out with an app on the apple store and google play. That would be soo much easier to access on your phone because everytime i have to login with steam and stupid steam guard pops up.

We should create a vote :D

It's not that simple.

  1. To have an app on the Apple app store, you need to pay $99 per year
  2. I'm not sure if Marcuz and/or Matt have any knowledge in iOS app development (and maybe Android) so it'd be a whole new language (+ more) to learn
  3. Sure, Steam Guard can be irritating but Bootstrap works fine for mobile apps. You should check your cookie settings if your login isn't being saved (it saves every time for me)

It seems like a lot of effort for something that's not all that important.

Plus You have to have a Mac or MacBook, to post onto the app store (Apparently)

Actually, you just need MacOS. That means you can use virtual machines and Hackintoshes, too.

Why does people want an app for EVERYTHING. You know, there's actually an app for ScriptFodder and its called Google Chrome/Safari.

USE IT

I was thinking of this but like Pat and billy said, Google exists and apple just want money and I'd prefere we didn't give it to them because people are to lazy to use the internets.

You literally could use html/php to create an app, and use a thing called Adobe Phonegap that builds it to iOS, Android, and Windows apps. You just need to submit them to the stores, and for Apple, you need a MacOS. Also, Apple is very picky with apps that they accept. Both Google Play and App Store cost money, and the mobile version of Scriptfodder works fine, the only thing that doesn't exist is mobile notifications, which isn't a huge deal.

Why would they ever build it on HTML/CSS (not PHP), thats no better than the mobile site?

If they were to do it why the fuck wouldn't the do the native UI (Material for Android, Apple design for Apple devices) instead of some HTML shit.

Google Play costs like 20-25 bucks and thats a one time payment, while Apple charges u $100 a fucking year

I never said they should, I said they could. I agree with you 100%

With the rework that Matt and Marcuz are working on, I'm sure the mobile site will work fine. Besides, the current site only has a few bugs, such as being unable to review people.

Creating an app for such a niche market wouldn't see a lot of use IMO, especially since Bootstrap is used to make the site responsive.
