Hi im Kyle, Im a little new to the Glua stuth, but i have know now to to make a HUD That will work on all Screens. I dont do no fancy Smancy HUD that you can Config ingame, Or nothing like that. Just a simple server HUD To get you going.

Here is one i made for my server:

Requirements:

Must have a base(something for me to go off)

Note: Im a bit bussy with work and school, so if you do hire me please be Patient.

I userly charge around 10-15$ Unless its a verry simple one.

I only know this from the two people that have helped me with this.

Owain

And Friks

I'm confused. You need the person (who is supposed to be hiring you) to make the base for the HUD? What if they don't know anything about lua?

Any hud should already scale with all screens. You simply use ScrW and ScrH.

Do you have a higher resolution of that picture? There's like 10 pixels

This doesn't look particularly nice, I doubt anyone would hire you. I would recommend spending some time learning more gLua, expanding your portfolio and developing your skills both back-end and front-end first. Maybe go down the route I did and make some free addons or something.

also work on your grammar lol

Its Kyle I seriously doubt anyone will with the quality and prices your offering, not to mention only one example on your portfolio. There's a lot of better offers out there which kinda makes this thread pointless.

If you are going to continue learning, don't just limit yourself to making HUD's, try everything. Limiting yourself to learning HUD's limits your skills a ton, as HUD's are generally quite easy to make (especially if you've already got a design). Make stuff that involves VGUI, Databases, Entities, etc.

If you need to learn all that go look at Code Blue's tutorials. If your struggling go to the Garry's Mod Discord (or mine 😉), or even DM one of your friends that knows gLua (You mentioned Owain and Friks, they'll most likely help you again if your starting out). You've got a long way to go before your able to start posting job offerings, just try to not overwork yourself and give yourself really complex stuff to do with deadlines and money on the line when you can't do it yet, whether that be from a lack of experience or just plain "IDK".

ok thanks Livaco, But i dont want to seem rude by repetedly asking about things, Like Friks and Owain are busy people, And i have wached Evry single Ep of code blues Vids and i find it hard to under stand, also the other thing is i am not welthy i cant aford a Teacher for 20$ a Hour, Its hard for me to lern when there is so little support when someone has such little money.

Its Kyle I'm sure they mostly wouldn't mind. Owain was my main guy to DM when I was first starting and put up with my whiny 13 year old ass (which I thank him for). If you're still uncomfortable messaging them then like I said join either the Garry's Mod or My discord server (your probably better in the garry's mod one tho lol). We both have lua support channels that people would be happy to help you in, and im sure plenty of other discord servers that I'm unaware of have them too. There's also the forum category here for Lua Help if your more of a forum guy.

Almost nobody here paid for lessons. Sure it could be a pretty significant boost in skill level but honestly, you're only really going to get better by one, practicing and genuinely enjoying doing it, and two, surrounding yourself by likeminded people.

Dan's discord is a decent community of people who are willing to help out newer developers as long as you respect peoples advice and genuinely listen to it and don't abuse it.

Although, it's very unwise to start selling things, especially when you're newer to it as your code, whilst working, is likely littered by bad practices, which isn't a dig at you though. Everyone starting out isn't likely and isn't expected to know everything inside and out in terms of how things work or how to make them work in the best way possible. It's something you pick up along the way by doing your own research and, like I said, surrounding yourself with like-minded people.

We expect some form of experience and quality from the people opening threads here, and currently the work you've posted seems very low quality and requires fairly little experience.

Please put some time into actually learning glua and then feel free to open another hire me thread!
