Description

I am in need of a developer to fix some issues from a list of recorded bugs and problems for my gamemode. I use a gamemode called Zombie Survival, and I have a heavily modified privatized fork of that gamemode. Essentially I just need a long term developer who can fix the current issues with the gamemode as well as any others for a month or two. I would prefer to hire a developer who actually knows the gamemode or has played it before. Furthermore, I will only hire users who accept PayPal and speak fluent English. The deadline is also not final and can be adjusted if requested. You will also need a GitHub account to gain access to the private repositories. Communication will be conducted over Discord, so that is required.

Here is a current list of the issues. The budget is negotiable and so are the items from the list:

  1. TFA bullets should not impact on props that are being held by players.
  2. The Resupply Pack trinket will sometimes prevent players from placing deployables such as the arsenal crate.
  3. The Resupply Pack trinket will cause the TFA weapon crosshairs to spaz out for the user with the resupply pack while the pack is equipped.
  4. After selecting an ammo type with the Resupply Pack trinket and then dropping it, the Resupply Box will only give the ammo that was selected in the Resupply Pack regardless of what weapon the user is holding.
  5. Picking up a deployable of any kind after dropping it from the inventory menu will generate the ammo needed to place the deployable, even though the user still has the ammo required resulting in the user being able to duplicate deployables.
  6. The Wooism skill does not work at all.
  7. Movement speed penalties via using ironsights or just a flat movement speed reduction while holding a TFA weapon are still slightly miscalculated when the user has skills that modify movement speed. (Example: I equipped the speed skills, the backpeddler skill, all of the motion skills, and the ultra nimble skill and my total speed was 258. With an ironsight movement speed deduction multiplier of 10%, ironsight movement speed should be 232.2, but it's 235.5. I tested using the EL-16 Carbine.)
  8. The Ghoul and Noxious Ghoul weapons will print damage icons for the enfeeble status effect despite the effect doing no damage. (Primary Attack, for Props).
  9. In very rare instances, a zombie will become invisible for the rest of the match. Issue seems to occur when there is a high number of bots on the server, and some players can still see the bot while others can't.
  10. Zombies will sometimes spawn when a Fast Zombie or Bloated Zombie dies. This may be related to the bots addon.
  11. The "you have died" text that appears when you die as a human does not change font when using the custom HUD.
  12. The numbers that appear at the top left that represent the number of zombies and survivors does not change font when using the custom HUD.
  13. The "you are the last human" and "x number of zombies are out to get you" text that appears when you are the last human, does not get its font changed on the custom HUD.
  14. The "arsenal upgraded" text that appears when being given or picking up a weapon does not have its font changed on the custom HUD.
  15. The "next round in #" text that appears when a match ends (as well as the "Loading..." text when a map is selected) does not get its font updated when using the custom HUD.
  16. The "that life..." message that appears at the bottom right of the zombie HUD after you die as a zombie which shows how much damage you did vs props & humans does not appear on the custom HUD.
  17. Rework of the pointgain system where it should award based on damage every # seconds instead of pooling from a static number of points dependent on zombie class. Basically a configurable value like every 20 damage = 1 point or something, and then after a configurable amount of seconds, give the player the total amount of points worth of damage done vs zombies. (As an example, after 10 seconds, a player that has done 50 damage should receive 2.5 points.)

The tasks here are related to external addons that work with the gamemode as a dependency. The bots and a passive automatic event system are the addons. These addons were developed by a previous developer who is unable to continue working at the moment due to life circumstances.

  1. The special weapons event will not display special weapons in the worth or arsenal menus while the event is active.
  2. The AFK system in the bots addon will sometimes result in making AI-controlled player zombies A-Pose.
  3. The bots addon will always make AFK players as the standard zombie class rather than selecting from the table of classes the bots use at specified waves.
