Advanced Zone Manager

Is this intended to work with xadmin2? I have this installed and I am getting script errors between this and xadmin2.

what the heck is "wungus?" that keeps popping up in my console whenever I enter my spawn zone?

I find that this addon offers more possibilities than "area manager" but it is laggy on certain points:

• the fact of making zones close to the walls does not seem to work (I have a prison I wanted to cover everything with a zone but its not working) [or else it is the fact of making the zone at a certain angle but it remains disturbing]
• Some features work well but others don't (or not ?)
• The fact that the delete button is too close to the other buttons without a confirmation message ... not very UX Friendly: /

But on the rest it is cool:

• If you are familiar with lua, it is very easy to add simple functionalities by yourself (such as for example disable the noclip when entering a zone).
• The support is cool

I think in conclusion (from what it has in addition that areamanager does not): It is very easy to extend the functionalities, and to create a customizable zone entry message (more simply)

I recommand it ? Yes of course ! But be careful not to delete your zones on purpose (I went crazy because of her) ^^'

Yeah, a couple of people have mentioned that to me. I don't think it's a big deal really, since it's administrator tool rather than something players will be using all the time. I might take another look at it at some point. Also, I play in 2k resolution, so my UI is likely to look larger in the screenshots anyway.

Your menu is bigger than it needs to be, you have a lot of empty space, perhaps you could add more minor features to fill in the space or maybe even a redesign, other than that, the addon looks good to me. GLWS

Super possible! You'd have to create your own special loadout zones atm, but that's not a bad idea for a feature. Creating your own zones should be super easy if you know a bit of lua.

This looks awesome for event style servers or giving your VIP's some extra perks, along with the standard protection features! Maybe go crazy with a kitting function to give players loadouts too 🤔 GLWS!

Aws0me By squares I was referring to both rectangles and squares, it should've been pretty obvious by the context. But there you go if you haven't figured it out.

Zones aren't "just squares"... Zones are rectangles... technically rectangular prisms but that's besides the point. Not sure what else you want or need.

Hey it got approved, awesome. As for what this does that area manager doesn't - it has a lot of customisability. You can create a zone that effects different groups of users uniquely. It could give things like speed boosts or jump boosts to VIP members, or give admins godmode, etc. You can add any number of modifiers and effects to each zone, as well as many different kinds of restrictions - such as tool or weapon restrictions. You can use the zones as a teleporter to other zones, and include things like welcome and exit messages.

The zones themselves are object oriented in design, so developers can define their own custom zone types that are then integrated automatically. The same is also possible for the messages that you can display when people enter the zone. I may need to make a more in-depth tutorial video, since it's not entirely clear from the outlook just how many features are in this.
