Ember - donation system, bans, loading screen & landing/index page

Couple Questions...

1. Would it possible to inherit this with Task or even add a feature with a Daily Login system? Simple task where you could easily get credits for joining the forums, Steam Group, Discord, putting the website's name in your Steam name and just get credits by logging in.
2. Are we able to re-layout the links (Home, Forums etc.)?
3. Do people have to buy credits first in order to purchase items?

Faas I chose not to implement IP logging as IP addresses are considered PII and don't have a reasonable use case that I could think of. I might implement that in the future, though.

Any chance it can log IPs? Regardless I'm sold.

Rayek unfortunately I probably won't add support for additional payment processors unless they are significantly better than PayPal in some regard. PayPal supports all major credit cards and people who wish to purchase scripts on this marketplace are required to use PayPal anyway.

Wacko an option for donation package expiry is something that I've considered and might implement in the future, although there are plenty of free addons out there for timed ranks and the like.

Faas currently the SteamID, name, first join timestamp and last online timestamp are stored when a user signs in to the website or connects to a server running Ember (linked to said website).

So does this system automatically get and store player data of all who join similar as to how GExtension does? If so I am sold on this and the forum addon for it.

Mkekala Will there be a choice of monthly donation? (time period of how long the donation package lasts)

Could you add the PaySafeCard payment option, as it is done in Gextension? I would love to buy this donation system, but 99% of payments on my server are PSC codes...

I'll legit buy this to replace Prometheus.

Agent F sales are a planned feature, but it might take a while before I implement them.

Could you please add a sale function?

There's nothing wrong with using React even for simple applications. Your addon has a built-in in donation system, so it's at least somewhat advanced already.

However, using PHP with server-side rendering is perfectly fine as well. It's totally up to you how you want to design the addon and there are many possible approaches all of which are equally valid. That was just an idea.

Anyway, great job on the addon and good luck with sales.

Pyroman Using React with PHP for a relatively simple multi-page application seems kind of impractical.

It appears to be a decent addon for a reasonable price for the new server owners. However, I am wondering why nobody on GmodStore is using React (or even Angular as much as I hate it) for a more interactive user experience.

LemonFridge not currently as that kind of functionality is outside the scope of this addon. There are free addons out there that provide the functionality you're looking for. They can be used in conjunction with this addon - that's what the custom Lua section is intended for.

Are u planning on adding permaweapons to the donator shop?

Yeah, most of the features are optional and configurable. You can choose to hide the ban list page and ignore all stored bans.

Can I disable the bans feature entirely?

already had someone chargeback on paypal and i had no such fee issue, just told them the situation and they ruled in our favour. From my experience as long as you give paypal a well-written response with some kind of proof it wasn't a "unauthorised payment" or whatever they say the issue was they will give you the money.

Thanks for letting me know. The same problem exists with PayPal as well, though, or so I've heard at least. In that kind of a situation you could request the payment processor to refund the fee, no?

mkekala - heads up on stripe. theres a $15 Backcharge fee. e.g. i bought a $5 vip plan and then i backcharged it would give me my $5 back and give you $15 backcharge. (its why i stopped offering it on my hosting company)

Well I wanted a system where people can donate, get credits and spend those credits ingame. Also they would get credits for doing referrals and all that. This would work without an ingame thing too, but I think it would be better to have a shop ingame just like pointshop with custom stuff you can add. Maybe weapons and all that aswell, because currently if you use systems like that and pointshop, you still have 2 shops there.

Stripe integration is planned (although not guaranteed) for the near future.
