What is this?

This is a simple addon that allows staff members to place images anywhere they please. Images are loaded only after the client is in the server, so there is no impact of FastDL or workshop downloads! On top of that, the client only needs to download the image once, that's it!

Why pick this over the competition?

Unlike other systems with similar features, gDecals allows users to use any web host of their choosing. Any sort of host image that is a jpeg, jpg, or png will load perfectly. On top of that, gDecals has direct support for imgur. No need to mess around with getting imgur image IDs, let gDecals do the work for you! gDecals also has a built in fine-tuner for scale (right click the scale bar), so scaling to perfection is a breeze.

Commands:

!savedecals - Saves all of the decals on a map

!copydecal - Copies the decal that is looked at

Convars:

decalshalo [default: 1] - Outlines the decal when looked at decalsenabled [default: 1] - Display decals

Usage:

Spawn the entity (can be spawned through the Q menu) and place it wherever you please. Once you are done, run the configurable save command and the entity will be made permanent.

If you wish to move decals between servers, just copy the decals data folder (data/decals) to the new server from the server in which it was created.

Installation:

Drag and drop into addons and configure to your liking!
