If this doesn't capture a cheat, no other screencapture will, because this includes all methods currently in Gmod for capturing screens. The livestreams do not go over 5fps but that's fine. Also note, some server hosts don't allow writing files. If your server host does not allow saving files, try switching to vultr or digitalocean.

What does this script do?

If you think a player is cheating or just want to stalk him because you think he's violating rules or trolling people you can use this script to get screengrabs of his screen or to directly stream his screen to you.

Are there any issues?

The guy who's getting screenshotted will lag more when he's being screengrabbed/his screen is being streamed

How do I install this script?

• Drag & Drop to your addons folder
• Try it out with the test website (aka, see that it works)
• Upload the web to your webserver
• Copy config/settings.template.php to config/settings.php
• Change the server key/password in config/settings.php and sv_leyscreencaps.lua to something very secret
• Enter your steam api key in config/settings.php and be happy; u're done =)

If the website doesn't work, make sure to try chmod with your OWN DIRECTORY AND PROPER WWW USER for example chmod -R /example/directory/to/screengrabs 777 and chown -R /example/directory/to/screengrabs www-data:www-data .

There are free alternatives but those aren't as complex and pretty much all use net which is bottlenecked by garrysmods networking. Most also don't take in account the players connection speed and thus cause you issues.

nope, this addon has it's own custom networking to avoid bottlenecks through sending images through net and splitting them.

Well you see we always try to help people but if we can't understand you it's kind of hard. We don't know all languages. We'll try to understand you, but if we can't, please don't be mad. Try asking a friend who knows your language and english incase you're having troubles stating your problem.

For some reason it doesn't load

I've had a customer with that issue and the reason was he had so many addons that garrysmod struggled to even load any more lua files. You can kinda imagine it like a obese person. If someone eats too much he'll end up fat, slow and have trouble doing lots of everyday things. That's your server, when you feed it too many addons. And if your server has that many addons, weird shit can happen. In an obese person if he's too fat and eats more he just ends up dying or puking. If your server is too fat it will crash randomly and behave weirdly. For example, it might just not load all lua files on your server. Then you wonder why not all stuff loads. Or it might just crash on mapchanges etc. The effects can be anything. And no, putting things in one content pack or folder or something doesn't make it any better. That'd be like feeding a obese person with potatoes instead of fries. He'll still eat up ending the same amount of potato. So be nice to your server - don't force it to be obese. This addon isn't going to make your server less obese, no addon can, only you can help it become slim and fit.
