The Perfect Radar DLC #1 (Discriminating, Educational, Average cameras)

The Perfect Radar System DLC #1 adds content by having, for real this time, the latest in speed enforcement. Basic but useful cameras are here to be sure the road is a safety environment with discriminating, average & educational cameras! Server owners as cops are able to place them how they want with an easy-to-edit system. Be sure that everything is controlled with a lot of things you can put around the city!

Camera types

• Educational camera: a visual camera which shows you the speed you're on. It's educational, meaning you can't be fined but if you drive too fast your speed will be written in red, showing you that you should reduce your speed!

• Average camera: this is splitted in two cameras (1 / 2), for the begin & end detection. It calculates how much time you took between two cameras, and if you were above the time you should have taken then you'll be fined.

• Discriminating camera: a camera taken from France where you're able to put two different speed limits between vehicles and trucks. Trucks are vehicles you set in the configuration file and/or those who have a certain height.

• Distance calc: For average cameras. You have to set the speedlimit on the average begin. On the average end entity, you have to link it to the average begin plus you have to put the unit distance between the average camera and that entity. If you put 0, the distance is calculated automatically based on Vector comparisons. However, it only works if they follow a unique guideline, else it would pass through walls and it would be a WRONG value. To have the distance, select the "Distance" option on your radar toolgun and then you just have to press left click to reset the calculation. When it's done, you have to run away (as if you were a vehicle) from begin to end. Keep this number written on your toolgun, edit the camera and put that accurate number for the distance value.

• Vehicle height: For discriminating cameras. You have to set different vehicles which should be considered as trucks and/or you can put an exact number on the configuration file, meaning that if a vehicle has a height above the number you set then it's a truck. To have the height, select the "Vehicle height" option on your radar placer then press left click on a vehicle and you will have its height. Thanks to this you have an idea of what's the height of a vehicle and when you consider something as a "truck", put the corresponding value.

These extra tabs are only here to help you having exact values and something which works in all point, meaning that there are no excuses and with all this we pass through the barriers the game could give us: it's a realistic system, for real!

Configuration file values

• Diablos.RS.DLC1.HeavyVehicles (type: table) : list of vehicles considered as trucks to make they should be under the speedlimit specified by your discriminating cameras.
• Diablos.RS.DLC1.HeightTruck (type: number) : height from which vehicles are considered as trucks.

The other parameters are made in-game with frames depending on the cameras you want to put. Take a look at the video for that kind of information before purchasing the product.
